1988 UK convicted rapist-killer Colin Pitchfork's parole hearing to be held privately due to new developments.

Parole hearing for UK's first convicted killer using DNA profiling, Colin Pitchfork, will be held privately due to "unforeseeable developments" and "fresh allegations" against him. Pitchfork was convicted in 1988 for raping and strangling 15-year-old girls Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth in Leicestershire. The Parole Board will assess the risk he poses to the public if released and whether it is manageable in the community.
