Royal Mail installs King Charles III's cypher on UK's first postbox, continuing a 170-year tradition.

Royal Mail has unveiled the UK's first postbox with King Charles III's cypher in Great Cambourne, South Cambridgeshire, marking the continuation of a 170-year-old tradition of stamping red postboxes with a royal cypher. The King's cypher will be applied to Royal Mail's fleet of vehicles, with 3,636 vehicles to be updated between August and October, but will not be applied to postboxes in Scotland, which have been distinguished by the St Andrew's crown since 1955.
