Nova Scotia spent $1.2M on wine subsidy program from January to March, causing controversy among local winemakers. Finance Minister Allan MacMaster revealed the figure after previously releasing minimal details. The subsidy program, which helped two wine bottling companies import cheaper grape juice, was paused by Premier Tim Houston and a working group is now developing a new measure.
