Nigeria's SGF urges organised labour to enforce minimum wage compliance by state governments in Abuja summit.

Nigeria's Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, urged organised labour to enforce compliance with minimum wage payments by state governments unable to meet their obligations. The federal government cannot solely bear the responsibility for monitoring compliance, Akume stated during a pre-retirement summit in Abuja. He emphasized the importance of enforcing pension laws and a functioning law enforcement system for effective laws.
