1.5 million Michigan voters have requested an absentee ballot ahead of the August primary, surpassing the 2020 four-week pre-election mark. As of July 9, more than 178,000 voters have already submitted a completed ballot, breaking the previous records set during the COVID-19 pandemic. Michigan has no-excuse absentee voting and now allows same-day voter registration until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
