Chinese automaker JAC is launching its T9 ute in Australia with reduced towing and off-road capabilities, while offering drive-away pricing under $50,000 and a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. The T9 will now have a 3.0-tonne braked towing capacity, a tow ball weight of 300 kg, and a wading depth of 650 mm. The company plans to bring plug-in hybrid and electric versions of the T9 to the Australian market in the future, aiming to sell 10,000 vehicles in Australia during its first year and increase sales to 40-50,000 vehicles once more models are introduced.
