CDK Global, a U.S. car dealership software firm, reportedly paid a $25m ransom to hackers following a cyberattack.

CDK Global, a US software firm that supports nearly 15,000 car dealerships, is believed to have paid a $25m ransom to hackers following a cyberattack. The company reportedly transferred 387 bitcoins worth around $25m to a cryptocurrency account controlled by hackers linked to ransomware called BlackSuit. A week after the payment was made, CDK said it was bringing car dealers back online to its software platform.
