Benton Township is developing a new $1 million park, funded by a Michigan DNR Sparks Grant, on 10 acres behind the former Martindale Elementary School site. The park, set to include a splash pad, playground, walking trail, and be ADA compliant, aims to provide a safe and accessible recreational space for local children. Construction, in partnership with Berrien Community Foundation, is expected to be completed by October 2026.
