Atom Valley, a significant growth location in Greater Manchester, submitted plans for an advanced sustainable materials and manufacturing hub. The proposed Sustainable Materials and Manufacturing Centre (SMMC) at Kingsway Business Park would cover 2,724 m2 and include lab space, workshops, metrology space, and design studios. Atom Valley, encompassing parts of Bury, Oldham, and Rochdale, spans 17 million sq. ft. of flexible employment space with potential for 20,000 new highly skilled roles in tech and manufacturing sectors.
