23-year-old Samson stabbed his mother to death in Obiaruku, Delta State after she criticized his early morning smoking habit. The mother, in her 50s, was found in a pool of blood by neighbours who were alerted by the victim's sickle cell patient elder brother. Samson was arrested by the Delta State Police Command, and he was said to have been previously relocated to Asaba for rehabilitation.
