25-year-old Howquana Kara Bugg and her 21-month-old child were hit by a car in a hit-and-run incident on Nine Mile Road, Henrico, on July 5th. The mother died from her injuries, while the child remains in serious condition in hospital. The car, believed to be a silver sedan or coupe, left the scene without stopping. Police are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
