Melbourne's Kilvington Grammar School pleaded guilty to a health and safety charge for the preventable death of a 16-year-old student, Lachlan Cook, who suffered diabetes complications during a 2019 Vietnam trip. WorkSafe charged the school and travel company World Challenge Expeditions after Cook's death was found preventable in 2023. The school admitted guilt in Melbourne Magistrates Court under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
