4,000-year-old ancient Egyptian skulls from the University of Cambridge's Duckworth Laboratory Collection indicate cancer may have been a medical issue long ago. Skull E270, of a woman in her 50s, showed healed cranial injuries consistent with tumor removal, while Skull 236, of a male in his 30s, had cut marks suggesting tumor removal. The woman survived, likely due to treatment and post-traumatic care.
