29-year-old Alan Browne, Republic of Ireland international and former Preston North End captain, has signed a three-year contract with Sunderland. Browne, who has made 412 appearances for Preston and scored 46 goals, is excited to bring his leadership qualities and EFL Championship experience to Sunderland. Born in Cork, Browne has earned 35 caps for the Republic of Ireland national team since making his debut in 2017.
