Tanzania's Amsons Group offers $182.89m for 100% stake in Kenya's largest cement maker, Bamburi Cement.

Tanzania's Amsons Group, a family-owned conglomerate, has offered $182.89m to acquire a 100% stake in Kenya's Bamburi Cement, which is the largest cement maker in Kenya. The acquisition, part of Amsons' plans to expand into East Africa's largest economy, offers Bamburi's shareholders a 44.44% premium on the share closing price. Bamburi Cement could delist from the Nairobi Securities Exchange if the deal goes through.
