Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointing N. Kotiswar Singh and R. Mahadevan as Supreme Court judges.

The Supreme Court Collegium, led by Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, recommends the appointment of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court Chief Justice N. Kotiswar Singh and Madras High Court Acting Chief Justice R Mahadevan as Supreme Court judges. If approved, Singh would be the first judge from Manipur, and Mahadevan's appointment would diversify the bench by representing a backward community in Tamil Nadu.
