A new study by SPP Consulting reveals that capping international student enrolments in Victoria's universities, proposed by the Australian government, could deal a $6B blow to the economy over three years, costing 12,000 jobs by 2027. The analysis estimates that each international student brings $44,000 in additional benefits to the state. This comes as the government plans to halve migration to 260,000.
