President Marcos Jr. approved the P23-billion Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union (TPLEx) extension project, a 59.4-km, four-lane toll road spanning Tarlac, Pangasinan, and La Union provinces. The project aims to boost connectivity among agriculture, industry, and tourism sectors in Luzon's north, reducing travel time between Rosario and San Juan from 90 minutes to 40 minutes, and attracting more tourists and economic activities to the region.
