Platte River Power Authority launched the largest solar array in Northern Colorado, which will generate enough energy for 63,000 homes. The 1,400-acre facility will produce 257 megawatts of electricity, moving the authority closer to its goal of zero-carbon energy by 2030. The project is set to reach full operation by 2027, with a capacity to handle up to 1 gigawatt with additional transmission lines.
