NPCI International and Qatar National Bank sign agreement to launch UPI payments using QR codes across Qatar for Indian tourists.
NPCI International Payments Ltd (NIPL) and Qatar National Bank (QNB) have signed an agreement to launch QR code-based Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payments across Qatar. This initiative will allow UPI payment acceptance in Qatar through QNB's merchant network, benefiting Indian travellers visiting and transiting through the country. Indian tourists will now have the option to pay using their preferred UPI method across retail stores, tourist attractions, leisure sites, duty-free shops, and hotels.
