Nigerian President Tinubu meets with labour to discuss new national minimum wage proposals.

Nigerian President Bola Tinubu is set to meet with members of the country's organised labour on Thursday to discuss the new national minimum wage for workers. The meeting comes after President Tinubu's announcement in June of plans to send an Executive Bill on the new national minimum wage to the National Assembly. The government and private sector have proposed N62,000 as the new minimum wage, while labour unions have demanded N250,000. The Thursday meeting is expected to address both proposals and potentially reach a compromise.
