11 July: Former Nigerian Minister of Power Saleh Mamman collapses during money laundering arraignment in Abuja.

Former Nigerian Minister of Power Saleh Mamman collapsed outside a Federal High Court in Abuja on 11 July during a scheduled arraignment on a 12-count charge of money laundering. Mamman allegedly laundered N33.8 billion ($778.5 million) while in office. The charges were filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Mamman's lawyer informed the judge of his client's collapse due to ill health, and the hearing was adjourned.
