India's DRDO has approved seven new defence projects for private entities to develop key military assets, such as underwater-launched UUVs and long-range remotely-operated systems, under the Technology Development Fund scheme. These projects aim to boost domestic defence manufacturing and nurture micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and startups within the defense and aerospace industries.
