Indian Army's High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) mountaineers bravely retrieved the bodies of three soldiers who were trapped and buried under avalanche debris during an October 2023 expedition in Ladakh, reaffirming their commitment to leave no man behind. The bodies of Havildar Rohit Kumar, Havildar Thakur Bahadur Ale, and Naik Gautam Rajbanshi were recovered after an arduous mission at over 18,000 feet.
