In extreme heat, homeless individuals face increased health risks without access to cooling shelters. Nonprofits like HELP of Southern Nevada, Circle the City, and Our Place are providing medical and rehydration services to the homeless population. Some shelters also offer water and shaded space for individuals to escape the heat, but resources are limited. During heatwaves, homeless shelters see an increase in new faces, many of whom struggle to cope with the extreme temperatures.
