FanDuel, a leading sports book, accepted 34 bets on mixed martial arts fights promoted as live events on April 1, 2022, despite the fights having already occurred a week earlier on March 25. New Jersey gambling regulators fined FanDuel $2,000 for the error, and the company settled the bets by paying out over $230,000. FanDuel declined comment on the fine, which they agreed to pay.
