Delhi government increased PUC certificate fees for petrol, CNG, and diesel vehicles to cover rising costs and maintain air quality.
The Delhi government has hiked Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate charges for petrol, CNG, and diesel vehicles after 13 years, in response to demands from the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association to cover rising costs of pollution checking services. The fees for two and three-wheelers have been raised from Rs 60 to Rs 80, and for four-wheelers from Rs 80 to Rs 110, with the certificate for diesel vehicles now costing Rs 140. The government aims to maintain Delhi's air quality and ensure that all vehicles meet required pollution standards.
