CBI investigates alleged corruption and tender manipulation at CSIR-Neeri in Nagpur, India.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has launched an investigation into alleged corruption and manipulation of tenders at CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (Neeri) in Nagpur, India. The CBI registered three cases against 10 accused, including a former director and four senior scientists, for their alleged role in manipulating tender procedures and corruption in procurement of equipment. The cases follow a complaint from the central vigilance office at CSIR in Delhi. The CBI's search operation has so far led to the recovery of incriminating documents and jewellery.
