California sea lion Luce gave birth to her second pup, Nessie, at Blair Drummond Safari Park in Scotland, this is the third pup born at the park within a year. Nessie, named after the Loch Ness monster, joins her big brother Barney, who was born in June 2023. The park's team uses ultrasound to confirm pregnancies, which involves training the sea lions to adapt to the ultrasound sounds.
