California has approved a new blueprint for offshore wind development, aiming to harness 25GW of capacity by 2045. The AB 525 Strategic Plan outlines assessments and recommendations related to marine resources, sea-space planning, tribal engagement, fishery relations, permitting, workforce development, port development, and transmission. The plan is set to be submitted to the California Natural Resources Agency and the Legislature.
