Assam Government in India offers 2 special casual leaves in November for employees to spend time with their parents or parents-in-law, announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The leaves cannot be used for personal enjoyment and are not available to those without parents or parents-in-law. Employees can combine these leaves with Chhat Puja holiday, second Saturday holiday, and Sunday. Essential workers can take the leave on a phased basis.
