The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) national chief announced a draft deal with Ottawa for long-term child welfare reforms, worth $47.8B, on July 9th. The draft aims to improve First Nations child welfare systems. AFN's national chief, Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak, discussed the deal during the Assembly of First Nations annual general assembly in Montreal.
