ACCC accuses The Good Guys of misleading store credit and 'StoreCash' promotions, breaching Australian Consumer Law.
The ACCC has taken The Good Guys to Federal Court for allegedly making false or misleading representations about their store credit and 'StoreCash' promotions, breaching Australian Consumer Law. Between July 2019 and August 2023, The Good Guys ran 116 promotions offering store credit or StoreCash if customers spent a certain amount on qualifying products. The ACCC alleges that The Good Guys failed to communicate adequately the conditions for consumers to receive store credit, including the requirement for customers to opt in to receive marketing communications.
