39-year-old former NSCDC officer, Olukayode Dayo, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by an Ekiti State High Court for the rape of a 13-year-old girl. The offence, which occurred on December 25, 2021, is contrary to Section 31(2) of the Child's Rights Law, Cap. C7, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012. The convicted rapist was arraigned on May 13, 2022, on a single count charge of rape.
