Sri Lanka's cabinet approves a new multi-sectoral national action plan (2024-2028) to eliminate sexual and gender-based harassment. Proposed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, this plan follows the first national action plan (2012-2020) and aims to ensure a fair social environment for citizens. The new plan was identified as needed after a follow-up and assessment of the previous plan's impact.
