2024-2025 SailGP season excludes Halifax, but event organizers hope for a 2026 return.
SailGP has confirmed that Halifax will not be included as a venue for the 2024-2025 season, despite its successful Canadian debut last month. Sail Nova Scotia, which served as the event's host organization, hopes the competition will return to Halifax in 2026. The event attracted 50,000 spectators and brought tens of millions to the local economy.
