Rochdale Council trials body-worn cameras for school crossing patrols after children hit by cars and staff assaulted.

Rochdale Council is trialing body-worn cameras for its school crossing patrols following a spate of incidents involving children being hit by cars and a staff member being assaulted. The move aims to deter dangerous and hostile drivers and protect children and crossing patrol staff. The decision comes after a four-year-old boy was clipped by a car which failed to stop at a crossing, followed by an 11-year-old girl being reversed into by a car while crossing the road.
