200-meter world champion Shericka Jackson suffered an apparent injury during a race at the Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix, just weeks before the start of the Olympics. Jackson, who already holds the second-fastest time in the event, was leading the race when she suddenly stopped, appearing to be in discomfort as she walked off the track, which was won by Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia.
