Sales have risen by 5.8% over the past 10 weeks, despite unseasonably wet weather, with life-for-like sales increasing by 7.7% over the year-to-date. Despite selling or surrendering the lease on 26 pubs, and having 10 more on the market or under offer, the company's total sales are at "record levels", according to founder and chairman Sir Tim Martin.
