Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Russia's highest civilian award, the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called, from President Vladimir Putin during a ceremony in Moscow. The award, announced in 2019, was presented to Modi for his significant contributions to fostering bilateral ties between India and Russia. Modi dedicated the award to the people of India, acknowledging the deep friendship and mutual trust between the two countries. This is the first time an Indian leader has been conferred with this prestigious award.
