Giants reinstate Snell, Flores, Estrada, trade Slater, designate Ahmed for assignment.
The Giants announced roster moves, reinstating left-hander Blake Snell, infielders Wilmer Flores and Thairo Estrada from the injured list. They traded outfielder Austin Slater to the Reds and designated shortstop Nick Ahmed for assignment, opening two more spots on the active roster. Ahmed, a two-time Gold Glove winner, primarily contributed defensively, with a four-run improvement over average across 426 innings.
