BCCI Secretary Jay Shah appoints Gautam Gambhir as the new head coach of the Indian men's cricket team, succeeding Rahul Dravid.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has appointed former India opener Gautam Gambhir as the new head coach of the Indian men's cricket team. Gambhir, a 2011 ODI World Cup-winner, succeeds Rahul Dravid in the position. Gambhir was the preferred candidate for the position and has now taken up responsibility for the Indian men's cricket team. Gambhir's first series in charge will be a white-ball tour of Sri Lanka later this month.
