33-year-old Seabird Island (Sq’éwqel) woman Vanessa Terry was found deceased at her residence on April 6, prompting Agassiz RCMP to be called. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) deemed her death suspicious after consulting with the B.C. Coroners Service and is now conducting the investigation jointly with the Agassiz RCMP, seeking more public information to aid their ongoing inquiry.
