29-year-old Byron Da'Juan Lumpkin, from Birmingham, found dead in car trunk at burned house; homicide investigation underway.
29-year-old Byron Da'Juan Lumpkin, from Birmingham, was identified as the human remains found in a car trunk at a burned house in west Birmingham. Lumpkin's remains were discovered during a house fire response on June 8. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office confirmed that he died from gunshot wounds and smoke inhalation. The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the case as a homicide.
