Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and the WEDC seek $7.5m from the Republican-controlled JFC to support BioForward Inc., securing Wisconsin's U.S. Regional Tech Hub designation by the U.S. Economic Development Administration. This designation unlocks $49m in federal funding, projected to create 30,000 direct jobs in personalized medicine and 111,000 indirect jobs in the first decade, contributing $9bn to Wisconsin's economy.
