2% water level increase in India's reservoirs reported by CWC, following countrywide rainfall.
India's main reservoirs experienced a 2% increase in water levels for the first time since September 2023, as reported by the Central Water Commission (CWC). The increase follows widespread rainfall across the country, with the current storage at 39.729 billion cubic meters, representing 22% of the total live storage capacity. The overall storage situation remains less than both the corresponding period last year and the normal storage during the same period.
