UK households with heat pumps have been warned not to believe a myth about noise levels. Urban areas with heat pumps have been addressed over noise concerns, but Jack Harvie-Clark, a director at Apex Acoustics, states that newer models are quieter than older ones, and barking dogs are a far bigger cause of complaints. The total effect of the switch to low-carbon alternatives could cut CO2 emissions across Europe by 46%.
