4 UK councils receive C3 grading from Regulator of Social Housing for failing to meet new consumer standards, requiring substantial improvements.

4 UK councils including Bristol, Guildford, Sheffield, and Cambridge have received a C3 grading from the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) for failing to meet new consumer standards introduced on 1 April 2024. The standards aim to drive improvements in social housing. The RSH has found that these councils have not met safety requirements, have numerous overdue repairs, and have not collected Tenant Satisfaction Measures. The councils must now make substantial improvements.
