London Olympics 2012 bronze medallist Gagan Narang has been appointed as the Chef-de-Mission for India's Olympic contingent in the Paris Olympics 2024. He replaces boxing legend MC Mary Kom, who had to relinquish the opportunity due to personal reasons. PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist and 2019 World Champion in badminton, will serve as the female flag bearer during the opening ceremony, alongside table tennis star Sharath Kamal.
