Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signed a bill granting a 10-year sales tax exemption to the federal government and its public contractor, Honeywell FM&T, for the Kansas City tech project. The expansion of the National Nuclear Security Administration's facility, costing over $3 billion, is expected to add 2 million sq ft to its campus and create around 2,000 high-paying jobs in south Kansas City.
